Crossrail Sculpture To Be Built By Japanese Artist Yayoi Kusama

Yayoi Kusama, 88 a Japanese artist who was the subject of a landmark Tate Modern in 2012 is bringing her trademark polka dot design to London for her first UK commission.
Kusama will be building a series of huge steel sculptures outside the Elizabeth line, or Crossrail, station at Liverpool Street. It is worthy of notice that, as a painter and filmmaker who has worked with high flying fashion designers like Marc Jacobs where she worked with the designer on his clothing range, kusawa is know for her big scale installation decorated with bright colourful dots.
The new art work which will be placed outside the station's Eastern entrance at Broadgate is titled 'Infinite Accumulation. This art work is made of polished steel spheres on top of a series of 10 meters high rods.
